Web site offers one product per day with aggressive discount

Busca Descontos bets on a new business model with the launch of Ualaa!. The Web site aims to offer each day a single product at a quite aggressive discount, which is different from the group buying portals.

Ualaa! starts its operations on this Sunday, May 6, and already has partners such as Walmart, Nokia, Netshoes, Safari Shop, Magazine da Casa and Le Design. To encourage membership, consumers who sign up in the first month win an R$10.00 bonus on their first purchase and compete for an iPad.

The initiative is inspired by the American site Woot, which gross up to $1 million daily and was acquired by Amazon in June 2010. In the United States, the business model is known as "one day, one deal".
