Nike strengths the group’s operations in Brazil

In an attempt to enhance the brand’s strength in Brazil, Nike expand its group of sponsorship to soccer teams and starts to release new shirts. The company will now provide sporting materials to four new Brazilian teams: Bahia, Coritiba, Internacional and Santos. The American brand has decided to increase the number of sponsorships to Brazilian teams within the next years, having as setting the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.

One of the company’s main competitors is Adidas, which also has a plan to focus on strengthening the brand in the national market in the coming years. Both companies also have the project to increase the number of own stores in the country.
