Mc Donald’s has completed 33 years of operations in Brazil on the 13th. The Brand arrived in Brazil in 1979 with the opening of the first restaurant of the chain in the Copacabana district, in Rio de Janeiro. Today, the company is present in 23 Brazilian states, with over 600 points of sale. The company was one of the first in the fast food sector to receive the LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), for the sustainable restaurant developed in Bertioga, in the state of São Paulo, in 2008.
The brand, sponsor of the Olympic Games since 1976, in 2012, will take 200 kids and teenagers from several countries to attend the competitions. Still focused on the Olympics, McDonald’s has recently launched its Brazilian fan page with content about the Games.
