There were three years knowing the Brazilian market and more six months with pilot projects before Belcorp, Peruvian direct sales company, which owns the brands LíBel…sika and Cyzone, formally starting its operations in Brazil. The company has made the starting shot and plans to earn 400 million reais with about 200,000 consultants until 2015.
In the meantime, Belcorp also plans to build a plant in Brazil to meet the demand. "We will invest $200 million to build our manufacturing plant here. We estimate to produce about 80% of our three lines to meet the market demand," said Luis Salceno, vice president of the company, at a press conference.
According to him, Brazilian market offers endless opportunities for the direct sales industry, mainly because it is one of the fastest growing in the world in this segment. "We want to be the number one in Brazil and we have what it takes," said the executive.
